The main purpose of the educational activities conducted by Fondazione Rinascimento Digitale is to teach public and private practitioners the appropriate way to use the new technologies to preserve and fully valorise Cultural Heritage.
The training of personnel operating in Cultural Heritage is considered strategic. In this perspective, the activities promoted in this sector aim at a training that is specific, targeted and based on experience, in order to provide practitioners with tools that enable an improvement in handling problems born with the diffusion of digital technology.
The subjects of educational activities centre on:
- methods for preserving and valorising digital memories
- digital acquisition of images
- preservation of sound and video documents
- copyright and intellectual property rights
- metadata
- tools and technologies for managing the digital library
The effects of the initiative are evident for all of the subjects involved.
For the Fondazione, the training activity represents an essential tool toward reaching one of its fundamental objectives: to assist and qualify the transition process of Cultural Goods into the digital domain.
The project technical specifications and guidelines are in line with the strategic indications elaborated on the national and community level.
